Data Logger Hardware

CR10 and Communications OptionsThe CR10X multi-channel measurement and control system is ideal for geotechnical  applications. The standard basic unit is delivered with 12 channels and is expandable to match the number of sensors to be monitored.

  • It can be deployed as a standalone data logger or as part of a network of  data loggers.
  • It offers a wide range of data retrieval options, from removable storage  modules to cellular telephones and spread-spectrum radios.
  • It can be powered by battery and solar panels, making it a good choice for  remote sites.
  • It operates reliably in arctic cold, desert heat, and tropical humidity.

The CR10X is particularly well-suited for near real-time monitoring. It has a  multi-tasking operating system that allows the CR10X to simultaneously  interrogate sensors, perform control functions, and transmit data.

For example, the CR10X can transmit data to a computer for real-time graphic  display while it continues to monitor sensors. At the same time, the CR10X can  compare incoming readings to specified alarm limits, trigger on-site alarms, and  cause a voice modem to dial a series of phone numbers to deliver emergency  messages.

The monitoring capacity of the CR10X can be expanded at a cost per channel  lower than that of competing systems, and configuration time and costs are  reduced because the system consists of standard, off-the-shelf components that  are tested for compatibility.

Geotrade can provide logging programs for those who need to implement  the monitoring system quickly or who are uncomfortable with programming. Users  who understand CR10X programming can easily write their                own logging  programs.

Data Presentation Software

Data Presentation SoftwareSlope Indicator's MultiMon and GraphX programs are  very useful for critical applications where data generated by the data  acquisition system must be presented and acted upon immediately. Written to user  specifications by Slope Indicator, such software operates in near-real time to  help engineers identify and evaluate the severity of problems and make timely  decisions on the appropriate response.
